Direct Method - Beginners

We start off with a factory tour of our workshop where we design and make Mosaic Projects for all over the world. Followed by a talk on the history, materials, styles and mosaic making methods. You will learn the basics of mosaic by making a pot stand - transferring a design, cutting and sticking tiles and finally, grouting. The pot stand and all mosaics for making it, are included in the price of the Class.

Indirect Method

You will make a 300 x 300 mm Table top by fixing mosaic tiles to paper and inverting the mosaic into a cement adhesive. This method teaches you how to get a smooth finished mosaic surface even when using tiles of different thicknesses. Suitable for tables, murals etc.

Times

Trading hours for class participants on Saturdays: 8.30 am -12.00. Classes commence at 9.00 am sharp - until 12.00.
